Almshouse Tea Shop is set in the small medieval Somerset town of Axbridge. They also have an outdoor seating area in Axbridge’s Historic Town Square where you can watch the town's comings and goings. They are renowned for their amazing scones, Afternoon Teas and fresh produce.
The Almshouse Tea Shop is set over two floors which is accessed via a spiral staircase. On the ground floor there is also a small independent book shop selling both new and preloved reads.
Classic Afternoon Tea Sample Menu
- Four quarters of sandwich, one filling of your choice on white or brown bread
- One cake portion of choice
- One plain or fruit scone with clotted cream and jam
- A pot of tea for one, including speciality teas, or an Americano coffee
Afternoon Tea is served from 10:30am - 3:30pm
